Blog Dedication

This Blog Is Dedicated To All Women And Men Who Have CrossedThe 40 Year Hurdle!

We made it!  Wait, is that really something to cheer about?  Of course it is.  As you come back to visit this blog, we'll be talking about anything and everything about the 'right of passage' we have gone through getting to 40 and beyond...
we'll share "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!"

By now we've learned what "hind sight is 20/20" actually means!
What else have we learned?

  • It's ok to say "no".
  • It's time to do something for ourselves.
  • That our children are just on loan to us and they need to make their own decisions now.
  • One of the hardest things to do is let go.
  • We now know time really does heal!
  • Regretting things is a waste of time.
  • Some people are just not good for your life...bless them and move on.
  • It's true that "life really is short"!
  • You can actually see things from your parents point of view...you realize they really did do the best they knew how.

Vacations aren't always a big trip....it can be any small amount of time doing something that makes you happy.  It's really a break from obligations and stress, short or long.

Un-answered prayers are usually blessings in disguise.

You don't need the credit for things you do.

Some things just can't be fixed, and that's ok.

  • It was exhausting to worry about what others think.
  • Now you're aware of how grateful you are for so many things.
  • You realize there is still so much to learn.
  • Everyone enters out life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
  • Force in any situation doesn't work.
  • A certain calmness enters your life.

I hope you'll take a few minutes every now and then to visit my blog, and share your opinions or comment, if you feel compelled to.

Good points all. I particularly agree with the short vacation advice. I much prefer taking 3 or 4 days for a short trip than spending 7-10 on a long trip, these can be exhausting, requiring 3 or 4 days afterward to rest up after return!

Forties were not good for me. Had a complete meltdown all my issues that had not been properly dealt with came back to haunt me. However I like who I am today 20 years later.
